Wifi & Internet Block | Update of Me:

Hi guys sorry it's such a late post you see I went away to see some family, and surprise, surprise I forgot to take my laptop (like a div)! I had no way of accessing the internet and even if I did it would be incredibly slow. So I thought I might as well post it when I am back at home.
Today's post is just going to be a chatty one because I am not feeling up to taking photos. Yep that's right I am ill and currently sitting on my bed next to a loo roll (incase I sneeze again!) I am taking antibiotics hoping it will all clear up soon, but I woke up with no voice! Never happened to me before.

Things that I need to update you on:
My Blogging rest day is Wednesday!
I've got all my blog posts sorted up until october! Eeek never been so 'organised' ( cheeky hint of a blog post there I see)!

Added new pages, including a contact me page, ask any questions. Feel free, it's quick an simple.
The most exciting part that I am raving about is my 'Subscribe to my blog' button. Just add your email, press subscribe, confirm your email. They may end up putting me in spam :( so check there as well.
So that's it your all updated. I promise more riveting blog posts in September so subscribe now to be the first to know. It only take a second.

I enjoy being around my family and friends. We have a pet-less household.
I write about my passion, what I love and enjoy. I hope you enjoy my blog. Awesomesauce!

I've Got Organised | Blogging Style

I know what you must be thinking ' another back to school post,' but hold your horses, it is not.
So I thought to myself one day, ' how can I get my blog organised.' I searched the net for several searches, got off track once and then finally I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. The Monthly Calendar. Now I found it more exciting than it is but I have truly got to say I love it. Here is the concept:

Print of a free printable calendar click here

2014 printable calendar
All thanks got to elli.com for providing this picture
I have but all my blog ideas in the sections and then blog about them so I never get writers block. I found it's help me create some original ideas as well. I think the most helpful advice to a blogger is to take a one day break a week. I will be revealing my day break in a post coming soon. You see as a non-full time blogger I find finding time for blogging everyday hard. So my day is going to be the one where I catch up on all my homework.

I hope you like my one tip
What do you like to do to get organised?

Back to School Tips

Many of you may have gone back to school this week, or are going next week. So I thought I would to a back to school tips blog post.
I have done an Exam Tips Blog post so check that out as well if you like this one.

Hope you enjoy!

1. Today I woke up and realised I hadn't even laid out my clothes the night before. Forgetting I no longer wore uniform, I took everything out of my closet, picked something and stuck it on. Big Tip: Lay out you clothes the night before.

2. Make sure everything is ready in the summer holiday. Check you've got all you pens, pencils etc...

3. Get to sleep early : now I know in the holidays you've been staying up extra late, as have I, but if you get a good sleep before school you will look and feel good.

4. Be confident. My dad told be a special piece of a advice today. Don't follow others, let them follow you. I think he is right if you are confident and people think they can lean on you then you will make tons of friend.

5. Try your hardest! No one can expect more. Not even you!

Wisdom Corner:
Don't worry about friends, they won't help you in the exams. Don't worry about grades, just try your best. And most importantly do what you want, not your friend. Don't be pressurised into doing something.

Rimmel Review | Best & Worst

I have been enjoying Rimmel products for a long time now, but it's safe to say that not all the ones I have purchased have been to my liking. So i decided to write a review on the best Rimmel product I am enjoying at the moment, and the worse. These are just my experiences and I am not speaking on behalf of everyone.
Enjoy!

Rimmel Vinyl Gloss | Voluptuosly (real word) Shiny Lipgloss:
This gloss is my ultimate favourite Rimmel gloss. Colour: Cosmic. It's a lovely tope colour which gives a high shine. It also gives your lips the appearance of looking bigger and although this may not be what I look for in a lip gloss it gives it an extra quality

It also lasts very long on the lips, giving lasting shine and glossiness.
Rating:
Appearance: 5/5
Lasting: 5/5
Colour Quality: 5/5
Would I recommend: Yes
Title: Ultimate Lip Gloss

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner:
Colour: Black
This is my rant section now! First of all this eyeliner is advertised as waterproof. How wrong could it be, it is not waterproof at all. Leaves grey smudges on your lid and its hard to get off so you go out looking like a zombie! It instantly smudges on your eyelid. I also bought this item because when your in England it is 70% likely it is going to rain but I couldn't even get out of the door without it smudging. You would think it would go on easy but it just pokes half your eye out. When you do one eye you have to wait for more liquid to come to the tip to do the other.
Appearance: 0/5 Zombie Like
Lasting: 0/5
Colour Quality: 0/5
Would I recommend: Yes (to an enemy).
Title: Worst Eyeliner

Hope you liked my review (and the rant) and maybe made you think twice before buying 'waterproof' eyeliner.
What are your best beauty products. If you're reading this, comment your thoughts on my review and link your blogs so I can have a read.

My Story

I started my blog in 2014 and here's how. It wasn't one of those eureka moments where I suddenly think 'I'll start a blog'. I first opened a small business on a website, I did enjoy what I did. I sold clothes and shoes and got a bit of money out of it, but I thought maybe a blog might help me get my passion of fashion and beauty across more effectively and productively. I mean sitting waiting for things to sell isn't that productive is it? That's when Amberose was born, you see that's a nickname I got when I was younger and when i was thinking for a blog name that's when it came into mind! I have now been blogging regularly and I am really enjoying it. I just get a sense of satisfaction knowing that someone out there read my blog (and maybe liked it).
I hope to meet loads of new people who are just as fond as beauty and fashion as me and I hope to be welcomed into the community.
Thank you for making this possible and helping me grow an expand blog.

Tutorial Tuesday | Spiced Apple Slices

I was searching the t.v for anything decent channels that were on, when I came across a Sainsbury's advert (Sainsbury's is a supermarket in the U.K) advertising a tutorial on Spiced Apple Slices. They looked great so I wanted to try them. I thought I would share it with you guys so you could have a try as well. Enjoy!

Step 1:
You will need:
Sugar
Cinnamon
3 Apples (I only used one)
Preheat oven to gas mark 4, 180°C, fan 160°C.

Step 2:
You will need to cut your apple into very thin slices.

Step 3:
Now lay your slices on a baking tray that has been lined with baking paper.

Step 4:
 Sprinkle with cinnamon...
... and sugar.

Step 5:
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, after 20 minutes has passed turn up the heat to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C for a further 10 minutes. When they are done they should look something like this:
or maybe completely different if you made it with 3 apples (by that I mean better)! My family enjoyed them though.

Would you like to see more from Tutorial Tuesday?
This is the first 'Lifestyle' section of my blog. You see these slices are healthy, minus the sugar. Therefore they are great for healthy eating, and a light snack when you have the urge to munch. I was a bit apprehensive to do it but I did and I really do hope you liked it. Thanks to all my readers, don't be shy to comment and leave a link to your blogs and I will be more than happy to read them

My August Favourites | Amberose

Hi there guys, so today I thought ' It's nearing the end of August, why don't I do a favourites of this month'. I scrambled around the house trying to find little bits and bobs that I could put in. I developed quite a collection and here it is. I'll start with the ones in the collage first going clockwise. Enjoy!

Radley Purse:
I bought this purse from Bicester Village (I wrote a blog post about this day, check it out) and it was a bargain! I was wondering through the shop, browsing mainly, when this little wonder caught my eye, and when I saw the price I couldn't resist. It was perfect, it's spacious inside (like a TARDIS in your pocket) with zips and card holders, and has a lovely design on the front. Now the bit you've all been waiting for:
RRP: £29.00
What I got it for: £14.50
I love the feel of the material, the detail on the fabric. I basically love everything about it. Also Radley items tend to last for ages so this will last till the end of college (hopefully, if i look after it.)

Remarkable Pencils:
This is quite an odd find in a favourites blog in August but I love these pencils. I purchased these from Paperchase because I loved the silky smooth feel of them. They write smoothly and are lovely to hold. The best thing about them though is that they are environmentally friendly! They were waste once in a field but now they have been reused in the best possible way, as stationary.
They were also cheap at just £1.50 for three.

Speed Brow Benefit:
This is a brow gel for sparse eyebrows, now I do not have sparse eyebrows but I do have small patches which I would like to cover up and this is the ultimate eyebrow product for me. Made by benefit, it conceals patches, sparse eyebrows and probably more. I love it.

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray:
This product featured in my hair routine blog post and it's now making an appearance here because I cannot get enough of it. It gives you lovely texture and also has a slight hold. I do not crave  voluminous hairstyles that require three cans of hairspray to keep in place, I want texture. I get this from this bottle of precious serum that instantly give your hair that look of messiness, but also keeps it tame at the same time.

Lucas Papaw Ointment:
Now this is a lifesaver, papaw ointment is really gentle on skin clears up cuts, chaffing, insect bites and many more. There is one signifiant downside though, I discovered this ointment while I was on my travels in Australia and it's not available in the United Kingdom so when I was in Australia I stocked up, a lot. I now have enough to last me through two years!

Benefit 15-Hour Primer:
I'm not sure this primer actually last 15-hours because I do not wear make-up that long for each day, but what I can say is that it is great. It lasts for the time I need it for, and leaves my skin looking flawless. I know that my make-up stays on because I can feel it, and not the sticky type of feeling, the soft kind. The packaging is also pretty on the primer itself has a lid. So it is lid upon lid so nothing drys out.

Outfit of the month:
First I would like to say sorry for the bad quality picture, at this point of picture taking my camera had pretty much packed up.
Sweater: My sweater I got from Jack Wills, it is super cosy so i'm ready for the winter. I love the two tones. The lighter blue tone on the sleeves is actually a type of wooly fabric so my arms stay warm. The collar is high so my neck stays nice and warm in the harsh winter weather.
Trousers: These are from Zara and they are super cosy and fashionable at the same time. They have zip near the ankles and are high up on the waist. They are very tight fitting however, but I feel that is what makes it so comfy.

I hope you liked my August favourites. Follow, Share, Comment.

My Blogging Story

Hello guys I am truly sorry for not posting for two days. These past few days have been hectic, hence the reason for my lack of posting. So here is a little blog post on those days.

Day 1:
This day I got my results, once word had got out, relatives after relatives after relatives decided to pour into the house to congratulate me. After lots of hugging and the occasional cheek pinch I was so tired and ready for bed, thats why I didn't blog that day and I am truly sorry.

Day 2:
Now this is a 'no excuse not to blog' day. My family took me to Bicester Village and if you live in the U.K it's a must have designer shopping village. Located in Oxfordshire, it is very clean ( I hate unclean shopping centres). All the shops are outdoors with big names such as Prada, Gucci and Radley Bags. I didn't come out with hundreds of bags, only two because although it's an outlet designer village, the items are still on the pricy side. I highly recommend it for a big family day out, there are lots of restaurants which have amazing food. I went to a Thai restaurant that had the best noodles I had ever tasted, and there are tons of things to do.

So thats what happened over the last two days, I am truly sorry for the lack of posts.
Whats the most fun you've had all holidays?

How to achieve and maintain good skin | Amberose:

Great skin is one thing we all try to achieve. I am not going to say it's easy, but I am going to say it's not hard either. If you eat the right things, do some exercise and drink plenty of water you well onto the road of success. Here are some tips on how to achieve and maintain good skin.

 Eat Right:
To get healthy skin an important factor is to eat right. Don't cut your sugar intake completly but cut back a little. Eat nuts and fish as these both create oils. This may be the last thing you want but these are good oils that will wash out the bad. The omega 3 keeps your hair shiny, nails strong and most importantly skin clear.

Facial Cleansers:
Cleansing your face is a very important component in your daily face routine. I use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I feel like it really rubs any impurities away and leaves my skin feeling super soft. I also use Simple face cleansing wipes. These are great wipes, they get rid of any make up! They leave my skin feeling super nourished and soft.

Drink Water:
I cannot stress this point enough. Even when you're not thirsty drink water. It purifies your body, cleanses all your insides and clears your skin.

Exercise:
Now this is the most important point. Exercise is key when you are trying to achieve great skin. Sweating helps your skin, remember to always wash your face after you complete your work out.

My Hair Care Routine | Amberose:

Now I love my hair and the products that go into it. I want to know that it's safe for me to use. I have decided to show you my normal routine which includes some inexpensive products and some that cost that little bit extra.

Smoothly Does It VO5 Shampoo:
This shampoo claims to give you 'ultra softness & gloss for dry frizzy hair.' I felt like it did give me the softness aspect of it but my hair did become dry after one use. It also has heat defence within in it which I think is really important when it comes to your hair routine.
Overall: 4/5
Available in all good drugstores.

Smoothly Does It VO5 Conditioner:
This conditioner does do what it says on the bottle. It strengthens your hair and leaves it looking shiny. I am very pleased with this. They were both very inexpensive.
Overall: 5/5
Available in all good drugstores.

Toni & Guy Dry Shampoo:
This dry shampoo is like none other that I have tried. It leaves no white residue. It's designed for day 2 freshness but I like to put it in after I've dried mine to give that extra bit of volume.
Overall: 5/5
Available in all good drugstores.

Toni & Guy Texturising Sea Salt Spray:
This sea salt spray instantly gives you that texture that you crave. A few spritzes in your hair and some scrunches in your hair that once lacked body will now be full of it.
Overall: 5/5
Available in all good drugstores.

Kérastase Nectar Thermique:
This is the best heat styling protective on the market. With enriching oils it's sleek finish is perfect for dry to very dry hair. You leave in, then your good to go. Style a'hoy!
Overall: 5/5
Available in hair dressers.

Percy & Reed Volumising No Oil Oil:
Yes, you read right volumising no oil oil. This oil is fantastic, it leaves no greasy residue in your hair and is especially for fine hair. It also contains violet extract which gives you sleek shiny hair whilst adding volume. Also it contain pro vitamin B5 which helps to nourish add strength and repair hair while wheat proteins provide protection form heat.
Overall 5/5
Available in hair dressers.

L'oréal Elnett Satin:
This 'very volume' spray is good but due to other products I have used it lacks quality. Its hold is not that great and the smell of the product is not appealing too.
Overall: 3/5
Available in all good drugstores.

What's your favourite hair care product?

What's in my school bag?

This is a small post, just telling you whats in my school bag. I will link where you can buy all the things in my bag and give mini reviews on each item (links will open in a new tab). Enjoy.

Bag:
I'm starting a new school, so it makes sense to get a new bag. Mine is from John Lewis and was made by a company called Fiorelli. It may seem compact but in fact has three separate compartments in the middle section, a zip at the front for small things and a separate section in the main compartment.
Link to browse: http://www.johnlewis.com/fiorelli-nikki-tote-bag/p1475069?colour=Tan

Notebook:
Now I won't be able to give you a link to my notebook, but if you live in Australia you will be able to purchase this one. This item I got on my travels to the Sydney Opera House. It's light, compact and came with a matching pen (what's not to like)! It's made out of recycled materials and has ruled pages.

Pencil Case:
I bought my pencil case a while back in January form Paperchase. It has 3 sections inside and has lots of cute foodie bits and bobs on it. It also has like a laminated outer 'shell' so it doesn't get dirty easily. I didn't buy another pencil case because this one has lasted ages and is still in great condition. I looked on the Paperchase website but wasn't able to find the same one but instead I linked the 'Pencil Case' area just in case you wanted to check them out.
Link to browse: http://www.paperchase.co.uk/stationery/essentials/pencil-cases

Lunch Box:
This lunch box is from Urban Outfitters. I didn't have a lunch box, and I truly did need one. I though this would be perfect for small snacks like fruit or chocolate (oops)! This also grabbed my attention because of the eye catching colours. Also under the contrasting strap to secure the lid it says 'hands off,' which I thought was super cute and funky.
Link to browse: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/uk/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=5533427510222&parentid=SUGGESTIVE+SEARCH+RESULTS

Diary:
I was browsing the John Lewis website, when I saw this bright, colourful diary and instantly checked it out. It is perfect. It's an academic one so fits in all my school suff. Has handy pockets after each term to store your loose papers and also has an elastic string to secure it.
Link to browse: http://www.johnlewis.com/busy-b-academic-year-diary/p1279351

Coloured Bits:
When studying for exams, I use colour ALOT. I find it helps section each thing and later on it helps me revise near exam time so these are a must in my bag. I got my colours from Wilkinsons.
Link to browse fine liners: http://www.wilko.com/pens-and-pencils/stabilo-fineliners-10pk-colour-pt-88/invt/0254554?VBMST=fine%20liners&VBMST=fine%20liners&VBMTC=2355b8855f366073759eba92fd56ce9d
Link to browse highlighters:http://www.wilko.com/pens-and-pencils/stabilo-highlighters-neon-4pk/invt/0349413?VBMST=highlighters

Vanilla Wipes:
I picked these wipes up at the till. They were cheap and cheerful so i thought 'why not?' A bit of the spur of the moment buy really. I haven't tried them out yet but I think after every lunch it would be nice to freshen up and school/college can be a very dirty place.

Results Day Tips!

Ahh, the dreaded results day. They day that is marked on the calendar with a big fat red cross (and a sad face if your extra dreading it). The day where every living teenager is scared out of their wits for their future. Don't get me wrong this year I will be handed the envelope of misery, but I will be ready for anything. You see for last week I have been scouring the internet for tips on how to deal with my results, and with a bit of experience chucked into the mix I have created the ' Ultimate Guide to Results Day.' Here are ten (short but useful) top tips on surviving results day!

1. Charge your phone (trust me your parents will go mad if they don't know as soon as you've opened the envelope).
2. Get some rest! No irregular caffeine doses before/on the big day. You don't wanna be a coffee intoxicated bag of nerves.
3. If they are A-Level results draw up a list of alternative courses/universities you may want to apply to.
4. I always try to relax myself before results day so I am in the right frame of mind before I receive my grades. I take a relaxing bath but you could listen to music, bake, have a massage. Anything really (except coffee)!
5. Organisation is key ( A-Level) - Before ringing universities ALWAYS have your UCAS personal ID, Clearing number and details of your qualifications ready to give to the receiver.
6. Always do your research on courses, subjects and universities before applying.
7. Do whats you think is right for you - if you don't want to go into further education talk to your teachers, parents or a responsible adult about it before making the decision to get reassurance Remember you're not alone.
8. Eat a balanced breakfast- don't skip it, even if eating is the last thing on your mind.
9. Do not compare results- not with you friends, older siblings, no one. They are personal, focus on your ambitions and your own expectations
10. Stay Positive: the key is to always keep an open mind and if your unhappy with your results there is always clearing.
Good Luck!

Hope these 10 top tips helped you. Follow for more posts. Share if you liked it.

My Lush Review

My Lush Story:
I've only just recently convinced myself to go into Lush, I was reluctant at first. The strong smell that hits you when you entered into the shop appealed to some, but definitely not me and I thought it was a bit overpriced at first glance, but when I soon ventured in... I loved it! The variety of bath bombs, soaps, face masks, gift sets... was amazing. I was spoilt for choice, like a girl in a sweet shop I wanted EVERYTHING. Seeing as it was only my second time buying from Lush, I restricted myself to one item and succeeded. I chose a soap as I once did get a present from Lush, two bath bombs and I didn't like the texture of them, that experience may have hindered me even more from going into Lush.

My Lush Review:
After looking at every product in the store I chose a soap called Sea Vegetable. The name does not do it justice at all. This turquoise coloured beauty leaves a distinct and luscious fragrance on your body that lasts for a couple of hours. The washing of the soap itself I found a bit disappointing, I felt like I had really rub the soap into my body before it actually left a scent. The top of the soap acts like an exfoliator on my skin and the crystals on top dissolve nicely in water. The appearance of the soap I find is what bought my attention to this soap, with its bright ocean blue lower half with a contrasting top is appealing to the eye and draws you in. It also leaves my skin feeling super smooth after a  wash and lasts for one hundred washes (according to the lady in the store)!

Overall:
Scent: 5/5
Washing: 3/5
Lasts: 4/5 (can't be 100% sure)
Appearance: 5/5
Skin: 5/5

I hope you enjoyed my review, if you want to see more let me know. Don't forget to follow if you enjoyed! Share if you liked it.

My Introduction

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my first blog post! I feel like the first post should be super formal but at the same time not! In my blog I will give some tips and tricks of the trade (that is lifestyle, beauty and fashion). Some homely sections and beauty snippets. I will also share some of my favourite and worse products which could be from makeup to clothes.  I started this blog due to it looking like fun. I started my own business on a website. My shop sold clothes, shoes and accessories but I thought a blog might express my love of fashion and beauty a bit more productively. I hope you have fun reading my posts.
There are two aims of my blog:
  1. Inspire someone to do something
  2. Bring a smile to someones face
I know this blog post is short but I don't want to bore you right at the beginning. I'll do that part later!
Follow my blog, you won't regret it!
